laying on her perch
« on: June 01, 2009, 10:14 »
Any ideas from anyone on how to stop one of my girls laying on the perch. We have 3 hybrids and two nest boxes thinking that they wouldn't all be in there at the same time. but could this be the reason why one has decide occasionaly to lay on the perch?

I have one girl that is caught out every day!!! It happens. I put down some shavings on the coop floor to stop the egg from cracking as it fell.

Yep, that's happened to us too. We just put extra straw underneath the perch to provide a soft landing!
