I've done a forum search about the best way to eradicate moles from your plot. From wee-ing down the hole to mothballs and kids 'windmills'.

I wonder if anyone has successfully used any of the above methods or indeed any other?

Last night I went and poked sticks in the middle of the mounds of earth - will see what's happened later when I go down there!

Moles hate the smell of Elder, if you can find a few twigs, scratch off the bark to release the smell and poke these down the holes, always works for me!

read somewhere to put a metal pole {not sure of size} in the ground then regularly tap it ,the moles dont like vibrations

Nothing suggested has worked for me.
  But the elder is a new one which I will try out.
 Moles still devasting all my crops

Thank you everyone, oddly enough there weren't any new mounds today, I'll see what happends tomorrow and will find an elder tree.
