Does this mean when there are flowers, or when the flowers have turned into the fruit?

Hi Matt, really depends what you are refering too.
In the case of tomatos, the first truss is set when the flowers drop off and you can see a tom about the size of a pinhead.

Some of mine are the size of peas, so much earlier than last year I suppose a lot depends on variety........the first ones for me are going to be Tigerella, so hope they're nice
