just a quick question,
I had some sweetcorn seed left form last year that i've germinated and got a seedlings and some also from a new packet form this year, they are both for corn on the cob c.f. mini corn but are different varieties. I haven't really got enough of last years to put in a block, would it matter with the pollination if i put them in a block together?

If they're both the same type, minis, then planting them close together is not a problem. They're not so very different from one another and you're not saving seed, so plant away.
