leggy amaranths
« on: May 21, 2009, 07:12 »
Did anyone grow the tall, edible amaranths before?

I failed to prick them out as seedlings and now they're the right height to plant out they're quite wobbly and delicate - being overcrowded in a plastic growhouse hasn't helped there either.

Can I bury them much deeper on planting out or is it too late?  The seed leaves themselves are now about two inches up the stems, but they're not hairy like tomatoes so I'm wondering if they'll produce roots if buried?

Thanks
Clover

Your post has not been over-looked, Clover.

I'm sure if folk knew they would have replied. In triplicate.

I guess, like me, people have just not come across these.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
