Heron problem
« on: May 19, 2009, 15:59 »
This is not chicken related but need advise if poss please.
We have a big pond and Sunday morning we had lost 7 fish. :( Turns out we have a visitor early in the mornings by a Heron,we saw him sitting there Monday am so we put lots of fishing line across the pond high and low but this morning he was back!amazing how he flew so cleverly up and between the lines but he did.We have a plastic Heron to keep seagulls away and it works but is this encoraging the Heron?.The seagulls go mad when hes about too.
What friendly way can we get the Heron to move on before we have an empty pond? :(
