Hi,

My first attempt at greenhouse cucumbers so went for Ilas (a mini variety). Growing well with 2 nice sized cucs (having nipped others out).

Anyway it's nearly at the top of the G/House. Am I right I now pinch out the growing tip.

i would let it grow and grow,

fix 2-3 canes along the roof of greenhouse , wonderfull site seeing them grow massive

Interested that you pinched out some of the cucumbers.  Is this right for all greenhouse varieties?  I haven't pinched out any of mine and there are very tiny fruits growing behind flowers - telegraph (frame) and melonie varieties.

I grew Ilas las year and found them to be a very good variety.  I believe you should pinch them out but I dont bother.  I just train them along the greenhouse roof and always ger for more friuts than I need.

I don't know about this particular variety, but for my Greenhouse Cucumbers I leave them to it. I find that the plant self-regulates, and the small fruit turn yellow and drop off if the plant is trying to set too many - pick another Cucumber and another flower sets ...

Just did a Google and the Marshalls Seeds site says "It is self pruning as the laterals make very few nodes and stop naturally with a flower cluster." which suggests to me that you should not stop the leader.
