PLANTING POTATOES
« on: April 02, 2007, 19:25 »
I have just finished preparing my new allotment for planting and i wonder if anyone can tell me if i can plant my potatoes now. They have been chitting for some time now and  i am a bit worried they will shrivel up an die if i dont get them in the ground soon. I live in Northamptonshire if that helps. Also i have early, second earl and main crop potaotes - can i plant them all at the same time??

Thanks in advance for any help :?

I've been planting my spuds today Nathan, and I know some of our members have got theirs in already, but you are in a similar area to me, and our ground is pretty good at the moment.  I used to leave a couple of weeks inbetween each type of spud, but I know some peeps on here plant them all at the same time as the maincrop take longer to grow anyway!
