A friend emailed me some pictures of a flower that has suddenly started growing in his garden and asked if I could identify it.

I have to be honest and admit I don't know what it is, but I was hoping that someone could help please?

I've checked my collins gem guide and it reckons Lady's Smock Cardamine pratensis.

Also known as Cuckoo Flower.

Probably. Unless someone says it isn't

Yep, I agree, definately Lady's Smock, it's come up in our lawn this year and looks very pretty.
