I think he's only just getting over the shock as we speak...

You see, hubby had no idea of my wicked plan, all he knew was that we were going to "look" at rotovaters and had no idea of the time I had spent looking on the net at the type of specification I would like for the amount of dollar that I had.  (ive been saving pennies since August when we first applied for an allotment)

So we had looked at one garden machinery centre which were okay, but I thought slightly pricey so we trundled of to worcester which is about an hours drive from us to "look" at what they had to offer.

So, when this little beauty was offered to me at the right price with all my desires met (after negotiation I got an extra twenty off it) I just said...  "We'll have it" and marched off to the till to pay for it.  He just didn't move to follow me, was struck dumb, went into auto pilot and got it in the car okay, was extremely quiet on the way home and went into autopilot to make room in the shed when we got home.

Its only this morning after uttering the immortal words "but I thought we were only going to look" that I giggled to myself and thought has this man learn't 'nothing' after eighteen yrs of marriage..

but at long last he has given me a cuddle and a kiss and said thank you.  and is pottering around looking for a petrol cannister to go get some juice for it with rather a silly soppy grin on his face.. :)

A couple of years ago I saved up £200 to get jon a night vision monocular that he had been looking at and harping on about for months, he's only got it out od the box twice, so kinda give up  :x
