green bins in Reading
« on: May 15, 2009, 21:58 »
For anyone who lives in Reading Borough Council area -- they have a stall in Morrison's carpark tomorrow (Saturday) where you can get one of those digest nyhting green cones, or a green wheelie bin for £20 -- very usefull for anything you can't compost. Collections then almost all year round from your address  :)

Hi Sunshineband,
do you have to take proof of address as I'm just outside RBC and "looked after" by meanie Wokingham Council.
My mum in Bristol has a recycling green bin and just chucks anything recyclable into it and the council sorts it all. We still have a box collection, everything has to be sorted and there's quite a bit they won't collect  :(

When will get their act together, every authority seems to have their own ideas on recycling.
