Tomato ID
« on: May 05, 2009, 23:35 »
Just realised that i've made a bit of a boo boo with my tomato plants.

I sowed three types, cherry, salad and plum.  I didn't bother to label them, thinking that it wouldn't really matter ..... but.... i've just discovered that plum tomatos are bush and not vine therefore won't want the sideshoots removed.

Is there any easy way of IDing the bush type early on? I'm thinking not but thought i'd throw it out there and cross my fingers anyway

What if the Hokey Cokey IS what its all about...

The plum tomatoes often have more rounded leaves. Bush types are determined to branch.

I'll take a trip down to the greenhouse tomorrow and check the leaves out to see if there is a difference, thanks for that.
