What to do
« on: April 30, 2009, 20:44 »
My CL chicks are now 9 weeks old i have aprox 1weeks supply of grower pellets left and just filled a feeder with the last of my layer pellets so tomorrow off to get more.
So do i buy 3 bags of layers and 1 growers or will the chicks at 10 weeks be O/K to go onto layers and therefore 4 bags of layers.

I don't usually put my chicks on layers until they are about 15-16 weeks old, so why don't you get a bag or growers, as it won't really matter if they are still eating it when they get to POL.  How many chicks have you got?  how long will the growers last them?

Have a squint at the actual food values of the two products - you may find that there is little difference and you can just get layers, and maybe supplement a little bit if you feel the need.
3 o'clock is both too early and too late to start anything - Sartre said so.
