I am just starting out veg growing again after about 15 years or so and I looking for a Mentor who will never tire of my endless questions. You can always look at the instructions on the back of the packet of seeds but it isn't quite enough. All offers gratefully received from the rooky on the patch, thanks

Look no further than......

well... everyone here!

That's the good thing about a busy forum, there are always plenty of people to answer and if one person gets fed up and goes off for a day or so, there are always others to step in.

Agree with all of the above - far better to post on the forum.

You can share all our experiences and advice, and there will often be another newbie who would like to ask the same question, hasn't quite got round to doing so, and would also learn from the input  :D

Edit: On our allotment site we do offer new growers someone more experienced from the site to act as mentor, so that's always an additional plan

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Yeah Daisy, we are all mental on here...... Oh sorry, you said Mentor!!!! lol  well..... near enough!!   :D

Welcome to the club, and good luck with your veg growing.  I'm afraid we don't do 1 to 1 mentoring on here, you ask the questions and you get more answers than you need, but then you take your pick or try all the methods and see what works for you!  :) :)

Might be an idea to put your location in your profile, LD, so we can tailor our advice in response to your questions  :D

Oops never that never crossed my mind, I am in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire which is on the Pennines so we are a couple of degrees below the cosseted southies but not that much different this time of year according to the current weather forcasts.
