Thanks for all the replies. Having checked the tmpo the soil in the PT I'm going to sow a block of sweetcorn next week with more too follow at the end of the month.

Planting batches of succession crops crops in blocks helps this. When the silky tassels turn brown have a peek to see if the kernels are full and yellow.
