I had blight in my Polytunnel last year and even though I replaced the top 5/6 inches of soil I have planted my tomatoes in a different bed. I am now planning where to put my 35 sweet pepper plants.

Will the plants suffer from blight if planted in a bed that had the tom plants last year?

Should add that last year my sweet peppers which were next to the tom plants didn't get blight

I believe not. Potatoes and tomatoes are from the same family but sweet peppers are not.

Hopefully someone with far greater knowledge will come along soon and confirm this.

As said, not. However, they can suffer from a different type of blight, not mentionable in this country yet, so you can happily plant them where you like.
