My tomato has gone hrrmph....
« on: April 20, 2009, 21:07 »
Why?  It has a really strong steam and the bottom trusses are fine but the top one has curled up on it's self and are going all twisted.

I just don't know what is wrong!

Is it indoors or outdoors?

In a heated or unheated greenhouse?

What's it planted in? (Manure, compost, soil)

Can you post a piccie?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I am not too sure how to post a picture.  I might have a go but it will take a while!

It is on my sunny south facing kitchen window sill along with another tom plant (different kind though) who is doing fine.  It is planted in compost and was repotted about 2 weeks ago into a large pot.

The link for posting piccies is here, hope it helps

Sounds as though it won't be a herbicide problem if it's in compost.

How tall is the plant - could it have been scorched by the sunlight?

It is about 40cm tall and I don't think it will be sun scorched as there are no markings on the leaves.  I have just taken a photo and now I can't find the bl**dly lead to connect it to my camera.

I am just hoping when the branches start to grow a bit more they will be okay.  I have thought of a better description though they are like hands that are badly effected with arthritis.  One of the branches has rotated through 360 degrees.
