my asparagus that I bunged in in february is sprouting  I know i can't pick it for 2 years but I'm so pleased I haven't killed it off!
Had to fight back the urge to take a photo........................

might take one tomorrow though

Ooh congratulations !!
The two years will soon pass - I put mine in the year before last and I think we are allowed to taste a couple of spears this year. Next year we will feast on them (if they asparagus beetles don't get them all first  :blink:)

I haven't seen any asparagus close to my plot - so here's hoping the dreaded beasties don't get 'em!

I've only got 365 to go
There are a few nice thick spears there and the temptation to cut a few is awful  I will be glad when they turn into 'leaves'
