OK, I've converted my garden shed for keeping chickens.

However, I'm now starting to question my work!

I've made the nesting boxes around 1 foot by 1 foot, is this big enough?

Also I've yet to cut a door in the shed into the run, what size do I make that so it's not too much of a squeeze  and puts them off going in and out?

Also, am I worrying too much? LOL!

I converted a Naeverson chalet triple dog kennels into a Cluckingham Palace for my hens.
I can stand up in it, easy to clean and lots of space for the "ladies."  I used bannister railing for their perches as I found they weren't too comfortable with the 2 x 2 wooden perch.  The opening is 40cm x 40cm as they sometimes try to squeeze through two at a time.
I've got some very nice, not cheap nesting boxes which they never use.  They prefer an old cardboard box, a whicker basket and a banana box!!!!!  Fickle females!
