is this something i could get away with ?

i dont have much space for potatoes, but was wondering if i could put some in where the corn will eventually be.

the seed potato is javelin that i was thinking of using and lifting them at the end of may / early june, then planting the corn that will be started off in the greenhouse straight after

im new to this, so appreciate all your help

i dont think ya gonna get away with it matey but heres an idea for ya . get some black plastic sheeting .in maybe a yard wide now lay it out down ya garden  you may wanna fold it in half . now slit a hole every 12 inch or so and just scoop a little soil to one side  through the hole and pop ya tatties in through that bury the edges of the plastic or cover them with heavy fence post type wood . now leave a space between the next row of plastic and  when ya sweetcorn is ready to plant out ,put it direct in the soil between the rows of plastic covered tatties ,the tatties will sprout through the slit in the plastic sheeting and you can just plant your sweetcorn at the normal time
