cheers whisky, i must have done something wrong

I take it it was you that uploaded the pictures for me.

No problem, MB.  You need to copy/paste the [img] tag and not the href one for this site.

They don't look that bad - prick em out, plant them a little futher down & harden them off.

When you're posting - have a look at 'preview' first before you let it blow. You may not see it straight away and might have to scroll down a little. That'll tell you if you've got it right or not. Just keep practicing!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks digger.

Also i have taken some advice of the site that you may be able to help with.

My seed spuds have flowery sprouts on them and are starting to go soft. muntjac adviced i put them in 4" pots and cover with compost.

When i do this will i be growing spud plants with foliage??

If so do i plant as i would a plant or bury the whole thing like a seed spud.

Cheers

I seem to recall that this was possibly due to them drying out, having got a bit warm. I think Munty's idea was just to stop them drying out further by covering just the tuber with compost. If the compost is kept dry, the spud shouldn't grow too much and the compost will prevent a lot of further drying out. Not long before they hit the ground running now! Just try & keep them somewhere cool & light if poss.

The spud, the whole spud & nothing but the spud!

This is not a British site, but I think it's simple explanation of the workings of the spud is well presented..
