Can you help me identify this fellow.

Found everywhere i dig over new grass, but i think he's a bit fat for a wireworm.

Any ideas?

Definitely a beetle larva and with those jaws I'd guess a predator too - ground beetle perhaps

dunno what he is ...........but i'm sure that's what ate through the stems of both my cucumbers in the greenhouse border last year >:(
(The g/h was newly erected on what used to be lawn)

dunno what it is, but i've found those munching on the roots of grasses when I've been weeding and the chooks love them!  :D

He's just short of an inch i'd say. Quite curled up normally.

I thought he was a chafer grub except he is very orange/tan colour, and most info on chafer grub says whiteish.

I think chafer it is though. Perhaps they got hold of a bit of fake tan!
