I've got some maris piper potato seeds chitting at home & wanted to know when is a good time to plant them.
Also is it better to chit them in the dark or in the light. As I previously discovered when I had left potatoes in the cupboard for too long they were producing long white shoot so I was wondering if the dark will help.

Chit them in a cool bright place,and plant around mid april. Dont forget to earth up until all risk of frost has gone

personally i plant all my spuds at teh same time ( fe se and mc) to get max growth b4 the blight hits
