manure?

a up, which would you lot recomend for best manure, horse, cow, chick? is fresh pooh or well rotted best and do i dig it all over or just certain places? i'm thinking about 4 sections; roots, spuds, beans and things and i dont know about forth one yet any suggestions welcomed. im new can you tell?!! :D

Well rotted is what you need, use it more or less everywhere except where your carrot and parsnips are going

Cow muck holds more water than horse. Its all good though.

Aminopyralid is a herbicide used by some farmers to control weeds in grasslands.  The herbicide was either eaten by cows etc and came out the other end in manure, or was used in grass which became silage for bedding, thus getting mixed into the manure.

This manure was then passed onto allotment holders.  It affects spuds and beans the most, causes them to be stunted and if you're unlucky it will ruin your crop.

It has been temporarily removed from sale because of the problems.

The good news is that actually a very small % of manure is affected and there is a test you can do by growing beans in pots of control clean compost vs pots of half manure / compost.  And don't mix the water saucers (contamination). 

If the leaves aren't stunted by the 4th pair, the manure is ok.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
