Bins are directly on soil and have had lots of thin red worms!
If on close inspection they are stripey (banded rather than lenghtwise) they are brandlings and just the thing for a wormery.
I found bokashi bran rather expensive (but otherwise good, and the bins were pretty cheap). I was going to try making my own but the weather was never dry enough. I might have a go this year, if we have drier weather. I am currently using one of the bins as a wormery!

Your slimy stuff will be OK for the bottom of your bean trench if you mix it up a bit with the earth.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
