Why don't the Council obtain some other piece of land to make another allotment site and leave your's alone :nowink:.  After all Cambridgeshire is arrable country.  The Council must have land they can use for these other people ::).  Saying that, I've only had my plot for three years (I've just started on my third growing season) :), mainly because my hubby has just retired and its to give him something to do, and meet other people (he loves doing odd jobs).  I'm still working, but believe me, when I'm at my computer, I'm forever daydreaming of what I can be doing on our allotment, and especially today, with the sunshine.  I really don't want to be in work :(.

We took over our plot in the Autumn, with brambles that my 6'2" husband could get lost in, and it took us 3 months to cut it down and dig out the roots.  Somehow, the people who are now wanting plots, won't have to do any work because its done for them already >:(

That's shocking.
I would be horrified if someone was given part of my plot after all the time and money I have spent on it.
