removing manure
« on: February 26, 2009, 15:33 »
I did something really stupid. I will be growing some onions, and next it some carrots and parsnips. I put manure over the area for the onions (nice and rotted  ;)) but it was really early and put it where some of the carrots are due to go. I didn't dig it in yet, just placed it on top. Do you think it will be a problem to just skim it off the area I didn't intend to put it?

Thanks

Ian

I'd just skim it off - at least that's what I've done

can you have a swap around and perhaps put leeks or celery or even courgettes next to onions and put carrots and parsnips elsewhere or in tubs ???????????
