seed potatoes already have white shoots

I opened my seed potatoes to chit and they already have small pale  shoots forming - can i still plant them or should I get rid of them.
Try my best to be Organic but don't always make it

They will be fine. If you want to plant them in March you could start to chit them by putting them into egg boxes in a room near the window at about 10 degrees.

Can you chit them in a greenhouse?  Its about the only space ive got!

I always chit mine in the greenhouse - nice bright light  and cool.   I cover them with fleece overnight to make sure they don't get frosted.

Sorry for thread hijack, but could I chit in a coldframe, or would there be to much risk of frost damage?

I have no cold window ledges in the house (OH doesn't do cold) and shed would be to dark.
