Oops I forgot about this thread, I waffle that much!

  I'll take some piccies, (if anyones really interested)  they are on all pots with the garlic in, I will take one of them on the top of the soil and then one with them in my hand, gloved hand of course  (in case of contamination you understand)  

They arn't on my broad bean pots  at all, but I think I used different compost for garlic and beans

I have recently traded up from a terraced house back yard and container growing to an allotment.

Trust me those weired gel blobs will keep down a lot on watering. All the books I got when I decided to plant in tubs advised to add them to the soil even if they weren't in it already.

They will make a big difference in next summer (if it gets hot enough!)
