Can anyone advise on this:

An experiment on the use of cow manure as a mulch to suppress weeds and retain moisture on raised beds growing peas etc.
The cow manure is not fully decomposed and contains a lot of straw-like material.

Might the seedlings be harmed in any way by the undecomposed manure - or does it seem like a good idea :?

wouldnt advise it matey they will probably burn .manures ok for bushes/ rhubarb etc but not root crops or small stuff

get it and put it in a pallet bin for a few months might be ok come summer,

Put it on your comfrey patch if you've got one, and then mulch with comfrey leaves.  Either that or, as shaun says, run it through a composting heap first.
