although I dint have a good crop of toms (blight etc..) I grew some San Marzano this year and wow what a flavour cooked.....
Death OR Cake ???

yes they are rather good aren't they. I lost mine to blight last year, well lost most of them but unbowed I'll be trying to grow them again next year

Planning a cover for them to keep the rain off and therefore, hopefully, the blight

I'm jealous!  I lost all my toms from one reason or another this year.  One of which was San Marzano.
I'll definitely try again next year though if you reckon the flavour's that good.
