got 12 healthy plants in the greenhouse ready to go in, problem is I have very sandy soil so I have mucked it in, chucked some lime down and stamped mighty hard on it, this may be the first and last time Grow them.

I do a lot of reading, I've got several books (birthday/Christmas pressies, they're taking over from socks) on veggy growing and read up on growing cauli's. My own attempt last year was a total disaster and I decided they were not worth the effort. But after reading about them I learn't that they suffer from stress very easily. The slightest bit of stress and aparrently they're off. I'm giving them a go this year, growing them in bog roll tubes cut in half to aviod disturbing the roots. According to the books they also need planting out no later than 5 weeks from sowing the seeds or they suffer stress again. I'll find out if the books are right later on when/if they grow into more than compost fodder.
