Sorry, I can't help with this problem but we have a lot of members that might be able to and they will be along soon.

Please try not to use capital letters as this is seen as shouting on a forum.

Hi Morri. Welcome to the forums.

How old are the White Stars ?

Could it be the 6 younger ones stressing them ?
I presume you've checked for mites, lice and worms ?

Are their poos normal ?

It sounds like you have far more experience than me but hopefully you'll get some suggestions you hadn't thought of.

sorry about caps.

worms and lice not a problem, the whitestars are 28wks old, usually its the older bird that stresses the younger one rob, they seem to get on okay, though the younger birds are a larger breed.

I do feed them well sarah, but i do all my birds, and do not have a problem with the others. thanks for the welcome from you all.

Mmmm, I know what you mean Morri, but could it just be because you have introduced the new girls that the older ones has gone off lay, as if they are miffed at having to share their lovely home with strangers?????

Worms and lice don't stop chickens from laying.

Any of the following might.

A sudden change in the weather can knock them off.

Anything new to the chickens. I know chicken people who always wear the same clothing when they go to feed the chickens.

Rats, magpies, crows and two legged foxes can steal eggs.

Egg eating would be my favourite though.

I note you mentioned adding younger Pullets with the White Stars. Are you getting eggs from them?

I have discounted rats foxes etc. weather can affect them, but not for this long.

possibly they might resent the younger birds but they are not squabbling.

no,

the young pullets are not in lay yet.

thanks for all suggestions.
