Why not get together with some family members and buy a smallholding and get yer mug on telly?

I've been dreaming up ways to set up my poultry business on my way home from work.... all I need to do is to find a way to get someone to buy 20 chickens a year for £1000 a peice and I'll be set!  :roll:

or 2000 chickens at a £1

And most of my family don't talk to each other  :roll:

I'm sure I read somewhere that you can approach your council to lend you the money (over a long period) to buy a small holding.

Not sure if/how this works in practice, but right now it seems a much better investment for councils than Icelandic banks - perhaps that could be dropped into the conversation?
