spent coco fibre grow bags

With all the issues surrounding manure at the moment, I was very interested when our allotment association was offered a load of these from a local tomato grower. However, I can't find any data on how this stuff should be used.  Should it be left to rot down, or can we use it straight on the ground as mulch or "no-dig"?

All comments and suggestions gratefully received.....

Firstly welcome to the forums, why not pop along to the welcome forum & tell us a bit about yourself.

I have no first hand experience of coco fibre, so I'm not going to make any guesses. I did a bit of Googling & this makes interesting reading.......

Coco Fibre
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Be careful if you have dogs and take them to the allotment with you. Cocoa mulch is really poisonous to them (as is chocolate). It causes theobromine poisoning and can be fatal.

It is - it's coco mulch, not cocoa.

Ah sorry. There is a 'cocoa' one too though.
