you need to mix it with normal dirt as the cow poo will scorch the roots of most things you grow in it.

Two years old should be old enough not to scorch roots and might even be old enough not to have that ******* weedkiller residue in it, as it seems to be last years manure was the first to cause problems. Best to be on the safe side and mix it in well for the sake of the residue rather than scorching.

Nearly forgot:-
Don't put any where you want to grow carrots or parsnips, makes the roots fork apparently
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Cow muck is very heavy but you can grow stuff in it.  If it's two years old scorching shouldn't be a problem. You can't grow seeds in it but plants such as sweetcorn, beans, strawbs, courgettes, pumpkins, cucumbers can be grown in neat poo if you've nothing else.   I actually bung cow muck in the compost bins now and rot it down for a while as it seems to make it more crumbly.   I got my cow muck fresh in Feb but it froze into solid lumps before I could get it in so I gave up trying to chip it free from the pile, and covered it up and left it  :D   You can grow spuds in straight poo too but they get a bit scabby but no worries they're still quite edible, just no good for a show  :D   If you grow straight into your muck be aware that blackbirds love rummaging about in it and they can pull your plants out at the same time
