Autumn Bliss Raspberries tasting 'soapy' - recs?
« on: September 25, 2008, 11:37 »
Does anyone else have this?  The raspberries I've picked from my Autumn Bliss canes in teh garden taste, well soapy is the only way I'd describe it. They've not been sprayed with anything, I washed the bugs out; is it the variety?

Any suggestions?

Or recommendations for different varieties to order for the allotment?

Most soft fruit will go acidic, if you let it stand around after picking, soapy, I don't know...

I have Joan, which I'm happy with. Taste is a rather personal thing.
