Onion sets left from spring?

We have moved allotments this year to a smaller one (easier to cope with as am now disabled). Didn't get the chance to put the onion sets in in the spring and wonder if they will be ok to overwinter. Any advice would be great. :oops:

It depends what state they are in. Shrivelled bulbs can be composted. Any that is firm and healthy, free from moulds, etc you can plant.
