Cracking Eggs
« on: September 04, 2008, 10:57 »
One off my chickens has developed a naughty habit, she goes into the coop after a egg has been layed and cracks it.  I think she started doing this when they were in a holiday let for a few days and i don't think they took the eggs out quick enough.  She hasn't eaten a egg, yet, as i take them out pretty quick.  Is there anything i can do, i was considering putting a golf ball in there to throw her and 'crack' her habit.

A set of my ' acme' hen specks could sort her out before she goes the whole hog and becomes a confirmed  egg eater.

Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
