Sprouting broccoli Extra Early Rudolph

According to the seed packet and all other sources I can find Extra Early Rudolph broccoli is supposed to produce spears around December. Mine has been sprouting since July and I have to keep harvesting it just to stop it flowering. Anyone else had this happen? Will it keep going until winter?

Hello there ! Its happening to me too. My brother gave me some purple sprouting broccoli plants and told me they wouldn't sprout till Feb/Mar next year, well I've been having small sprouting bits since July too ! I wondered when it would stop or why it happened ?

No help to you at all I'm afraid, just wanted you to know you weren't on your own :roll:

You both probably sowed too early, or raised them not ideally or some freak of weather, take your pick at your wish.
