The black rock is Rhode island red cross barred plymouth rock, same as the bovan nera ( which is smaller  than the black rock), tell me again what breeds you have & I'll let you know who's laying what!

hello i love this forum cause i can tell everyone how excited i am waiting for our first egg! my hubby just laughs at me although he loves the chooks he's not as obsessed as me, tonight the girls were out in the garden and both the new ambers (pol) squatted down when i stroked them and because of this forum i now know this means they are close to laying!!!!!!! so fingers crossed, after rearing our other 3 chooks for the last 14 weeks it feels like along time coming

Hi Chickchick
Your light Sussex lays cream to light brown
the sussex reverse -pale creamy
The boven nera as I said in an earlier reply will be light brown
The isa brown should be a darker brown
The bluebelle - brown
speckledy - brown

So it looks like it could be the sussex reverse! or the light sussex!!
Hope this helps...........now you know why I have 5 different colour laying birds
Have a great holiday
