Catfaced, maybe. Sun/light damage.

Looked on google and as Gobs says looks like Catface.

Apparently caused by cold weather when the blossom sets fruit.  Most often on the first fruits.  More common in the 'beefsteak' type toms.

deffinately water damage and heat, VENTILATION IS THE ANSWER

my beefsteak have it, my cherries don't.  and funnily enough peter the ones in my mini green house have it more than the ones in the open.

My gigante have it too, i just thought it was part of the design :lol: but as i only use them for cooking i didnt really think it was a problem.  However, mine are all outside, they may have had the cold bit but no lack of ventilation going on.  they are near two other type of tomato that dont look like that at all. :?:

my beef type toms are nearly always like this... doesn't matter what I do, never going to grow them again

Thank you. They were grown outside and I covered them with a poly tunnel which I thought would help. It trapped a lot of heat which I thought was good at the time but the ventilation must have been poor and the watering probably haphazard. So cat faced it is. I'll try again next year.
