I am thinking of replacing chard with pak choi next year. (Don't have room for both)
Does anyone have experience of pak choi, particularly length of season compared with chard?

Last years were fine, this year absolute waste of time.  About half of them went to seed before they'd grown properly, the rest got munched, even the ones I put in pots with copper bands round them!  I probably won't bother next year although I have saved some seed just in case we get a decent summer I don't think they last as long as chard, and you only really need a few at a time, unless you're planning to freeze it, I prefer it fresh as I don't like it too soft, also I don't think it's as versatile as spinach/chard as I only really use it in stirfries.

Same here - earlier first lot were great. Second (summer) lot went to seed too soon.
I've found they very quickly do run to seed, unless picked as soon as they're big enough.
Still be growing them again though, cos they're very nice and don't take up much room
