I have 2 silkie hens and they are brilliant at laying.The eggs are lovely and tasty!!

In my opinion silkies but the only problem with them they do tend to like going broody about twice a year!!

I would suggest you get lots n lots of CHICKENS!

Bantams, hybrids, large breed, cross breed, silkies, any at all and then you will still want more. A boy if you can 'cos it is lovely to see him look for food for his ladies and then wait to eat himself - if only all men were like that!!  BUT then again he is noisy and fights for no reason - oh yeah, just like most men!
