off to order some now to put in my chicken first aid box.  Well if the missus has one for the horses, I got one for my chucks.  Best be prepared. Though must take out the disposable BBQ and spicey source which I put in for every eventuality.

You jumped to the wrong conclusion aboiut my thoughts there Bodger   What are you like

I was having a problem finding out what the active ingredient is and Roughlee has answered that for me - Permethrin.  So I'd be happy to use it myself should the need arise.

I've never purported to be an organic gardener, or chicken keeper.  I spend a lot of my effort trying to get people to use flubenvet instead of verm-x   - but I never use anything that I don't have enough information about.  Suitability for use on animals is often nothing to do with the active ingredients but more to do with the formulation and concentration.

Frontline is certainly not organic but we do have a recommendation for use on hens by a vet.

Well good news all round then, can't wait to get me spray from Bodge, by the way bodge I assume that it will be okay on the chicks but only a little spray praps underneath their wings??
The even better news is that after powdering my little Buff Orp baby yesterday with my very last bit of powder, I really thought she was a gonna and expected her dead this morning, HOWEVER, when I went in around 10 this morning she was laying on her side and one of her legs was trembling (thats how Bertha died, found her on her side) so I scooped her up (her feet were freezing and its 80 degrees out there) and sat for 1/2 hour or so giving her Reiki and healing, I popped her just inside an open cage in the coop and came to tell my daughter that she should go and say good-bye cos it wouldn't be long before the littlun would be dead. She came running back in to me telling me that the chick was out in the run having a drink :D  :D So I have been in and out all day giving her little top ups, her wings are still droopy but the last lot of healing I gave her when I offered her food she took it :D  :D so watch this space, me really really really don't wanna lose this one now but what will be will be, but it wont be thru not trying.
Oh, and being as she is such a little fighter, WHAT SHALL I CALL HER??
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!

I have just googled the tiquanis spray that I mentioned. The one for animals has this in it
Composition
Solution externe :
DICHLORVOS : 2,4 g
FENITROTHION : 4,0 g
Excipient q.s.p. : 100 g de solution active

But interestingly the exterior one has this

Tiquanis Spray et pulvérisateur
Aérosol, pour 100g de solution active:
Flufénoxuron : 0.015g
Perméthrine : 0.500g
Excipient aqueux q.s.p. : 100g

does this make it similar to Mite-kill? what do you all reckon?

I'm in the process of saving up to do my Reiki Masters - one of my friends is doing an Animal Reiki course  (ACT). Did anyone reply last time around?

No they didn't. Be interested to hear more about ACT tho. I have tried to do my bit in that I have rescued most of my animals, but I would love to do more on the healing side  The only reason I could see for doing my masters was to be able to teach and thats not really my bag.

I know what you mean, i love the healing side of it (and i think i am reasonably good too! not like me i'm normally very reticent in talking about it.  This is where I'm going to go if i do it - he's supposed to be very good and a good intuitive teacher. http://www.reikicare.co.uk )
