Shetland Hens
« on: July 26, 2008, 15:37 »
Can anyone tell me where I may be able to buy Shetland Poultry.  They seem to be very rare.  I have had some as part of my small garden flock for the past 10 years but my last 2 are getting on now and I am really going to miss their gorgeous olive green eggs.  I would be interested in either a dozen hatching eggs or 3/4 hens.  Has anyone got any contacts they could put me on to PLEASE ?

If you are able to find some, why not get a cockerel? if they are quite rare and breeding a few if you are allowed the cockerel. That way you'll get a new generation from your last 2.
