Question

Light sussex usually lay light brown eggs - am I right?
Marans and RIR lay typical brown - am I right?

We have 2 sussex, a blue haze and RIR.  The Blue Haze (Hybrid Maran)has laid every day and the eggs are getting bigger, but can she lay twice a day as we've had 2 brown a day?

We had one light brown egg this week, but from the 4 chooks we've had 2 a day.

I know 1 of the sussex and the RIR are not laying as still too immature (sorry sp  ).

My previous 4 birds were Isa's and laid almost every day and were brown.

So point is I'm trying to figure out who is laying and who isn't as they seem to want to lay when I'm not around!
new to hens
Thanks
T
