Hello
Does any one know where it say's you can not keep domestic pet's on an allotment (allotment law). A chap on out plot has put his dog's on his and we are trying to get them removed.

if the site belongs to the council you need to ask them. Probably won't allow folks to keep dogs on their plots but you'd need to check

I would suggest it could come under neglect. Unless he's there most of the day, early til late, they won't have enough attention. Dogs ain't chickens and need more contact and stimulation.

Every allotment site or at least each council seems to have their own rules but usually dogs are not allowed.

Hi Jimroden, not sure if you are on the Hungerhill allotments in St Ann's, but I know one or two users leave dogs up there to deter thieves. Best people to ask would be the allotment commitee, who should have the rules written down somewhere. Don't agree with it really, but would not want to leave my dog or chooks on an allotment anyway.
