Drainage Holes in Grow Bags ?
« on: July 03, 2008, 17:20 »
I do not make any drainage holes in my grow bags as this is what the maker recomends.
If you make holes you will have to water even more. Do you make holes in your grow bags ?
Why should I consider doing this when I do not have any probblems.

I know a lot of people do and wonder why they do this.

Personally i do make holes in mine.  I find it easier to keep them moist without over watering, my growbags are on a patio and therefore if there's a down pour of rain they dont get water logged.

If it werks fer you then that's fine.

I put drainage holes in mine in case I over water and they get waterlogged.  I ring culture my toms so it can be difficult to judge how moist the soil in the bag is.
