I started these off in peat pots on windowsill in early April (I know too early but I was going on holiday).   Planted them out first week in June in manured soil and all on a pile of manure.

I can see the pumpkins are thinking about flowering although the 'flowers to be' are only about 1cm buds BUT they don't seem to have done much at all in nearly 3 weeks and the existing leaves are a bit yellow ish. We have watered them but not every day as I didn't want to drown them.

Please tell me that they will soon go mad! Is there usually a long settiling period?

Mine are the same - the ones I've planted out are just sitting there, although the ones in pots on the patio have gone nuts.

As the weather is right now, lucky they don't get frozen. It's always warmer on the patio.
